Since 2015, GreenTEC Energy has been dedicated to providing affordable, renewable energy solutions for homes, farms, and businesses across Zimbabwe. Who We Are
Founded in 2012 and operational since 2015, GreenTEC Energy is Zimbabwe’s premier waste-to-energy company, focused on providing renewable energy solutions that support the country’s move toward sustainability and climate resilience. Our biogas systems convert organic waste like livestock manure, agricultural residues, and municipal waste into clean, renewable energy that powers homes, farms, and industries.
Our work aligns with Zimbabwe’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 7, and 13, contributing to health, affordable energy, and climate action. By employing local personnel during biogas plant installations, we create jobs and facilitate skills transfer, building expertise within communities.

Awards
In 2019, GreenTEC Energy won first prize in a renewable energy innovation contest organized by the International Labour Organization. In 2020, we were recognized as one of Zimbabwe’s 50 high-growth SMEs, known as the Zimbabwe National Gazelles.
In 2021, GreenTEC Energy received technical assistance from the SADC Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE), which provided staff training on renewable energy project design, administration, and financing.
